“We are pleased that the World eXperience Tour has become a very important part of our retail sector's event calendar,” says Philipp von Czapiewski, Managing Director TUI Suisse. “The format is highly appreciated by all participants because it offers a unique blend of professional elements and personal encounters. Additionally, we set new accents in the accompanying program every year, with our hotel partners TUI Blue, Atlantica, and Grecotel being the focus this time.”
Professional inputs embedded in Greek hospitality
The group stayed at Atlantica Beach Resort in the south of Kos, which, with its direct location by the sea and expansive hotel complex, provided an ideal setting. After arrival, the guests enjoyed a traditional local dinner in the charming in-house taverna 'Elea,' where the first day of the trip concluded. The second day was devoted to professional content surrounding TUI and their partners, which again this year was integrated into an interactive workshop format. At a total of six stations with experts from the TUI Product & Flight Centre, TUI Sales & Operations, Robinson, Edelweiss and Swiss, TUI Cruises with Mein Schiff & Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, as well as Cruisetour, participants had the chance to test their expertise and gain valuable insights and practical information. There was also an opportunity for travel professionals to inspect the adults-only Atlantica Belvedere Resort, where the workshops were held.
In the evening, they went on an excursion to the traditional mountain village of Zia with its breathtaking panoramic view over the island and the Aegean Sea. In the renowned taverna Oromedon, the group enjoyed the famous sunset that makes Zia one of the island's most popular excursion destinations.
Extensive TUI hotel and experience portfolio in focus
The penultimate day focused on the extensive hotel, activity, and tour portfolio offered by TUI on Kos. In the morning, they visited the two stylish properties TUI Blue Palazzo del Mare and Grecotel LUXME, as well as the TUI Kids Club Grecotel Casa Paradiso, depicting the diversity and quality of the entire range – from exclusive relaxation to carefree family holidays. The afternoon allowed the guests to participate in some of the most popular tourist activities for an up-close experience of Kos. Options included a catamaran tour, guided tour of Kos Town, and a culinary excursion with stops at an olive oil manufactory and a vineyard. After absorbing experiences under the bright sunshine, participants enjoyed another dazzling highlight that evening: the traditional farewell party of the World eXperience Tour, this time themed “Neon Night.” With vibrant colors, the last evening ended at the Atlantica Beach Resort.
Visit to Robinson Daidalos and Exploration of the Southern Coast
The final day began for the managing directors from partner sales and the TUI Suisse management team with workshops on current topics during breakfast at the nearby Robinson Daidalos, one of TUI's bestsellers on Kos. In the afternoon, guests once again had the option to partake in various excursions and local activities. A highlight was the visit to the charming small town of Kardamena on the southern coast, which impressed travel professionals with its harbor promenade and numerous shopping and dining opportunities. After some leisure time at the hotel and a final dip in the sea, the World eXperience Tour delegation set off on their journey home in the evening.
Contribution to CO2 Footprint Reduction and Development Projects
In conducting the World eXperience Tour, TUI Suisse places great importance on minimizing the ecological footprint while simultaneously enhancing the positive effects of tourism in the holiday destinations. Together with airline partner Edelweiss, TUI has invested in Sustainable Aviation Fuel to help reduce aviation-related CO2 emissions. Additionally, TUI Suisse supports the TUI Care Foundation with a significant contribution. The independent foundation initiates and promotes worldwide projects, providing support for young people.
