The trinational degree programs at FHNW are unique offerings across Switzerland, facilitating studies beyond national and linguistic borders. Students attend universities in Germany, France, and Switzerland alternately each semester and graduate with diplomas from all three countries.
Pioneering Competencies
In addition to intercultural skills, students acquire specific abilities in their respective fields. In International Business Management, the focus is on 'General Business Administration,' 'Intercultural Management & Multilingual Communication,' 'Data, Technology & Environment,' and 'Integrated Business Practice & Personal Development.' Students in the Trinational Mechatronics discipline combine mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science, placing a particular emphasis on management and communication.
International and Practical
The trinational degree programs are structured in a dual manner: alongside their studies, students from the three countries complete practical phases in a company or organization. This allows them to learn the language, culture, and work practices of a foreign firm. Graduates are sought after by internationally operating companies - hence the limited study places are highly in demand.
