Master of Science in Strategic Management and Leadership
The new Master of Science in Strategic Management and Leadership places a clear focus on strategic management and leadership throughout its entire curriculum. The content is structured in two stages:
In the compulsory modules, scientifically founded knowledge in strategic management, leadership, and research methods is deepened.
During the specialisation phase, knowledge and competencies are further applied and deepened through majors, elective modules, and the Master’s thesis. Majors offered include "Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation" and "Strategic Decision-Making Using Data Science."
A high level of interdisciplinarity is aimed for through cooperation with other universities. The course is offered in German in Olten and lasts four semesters part-time.
Master of Science in Finance
The content of this Master’s programme covers four central competency areas: Financial Markets, Financial Management, Methods & Ethics, and Hands-on Skills.
A highlight of the course is participation in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, which replaces the Master’s thesis. The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual national and global competition where students gather practical experience by taking on the role of an analyst, receiving valuable practical mentoring, and undergoing intensive training in financial analysis and ethics.
The programme is offered in English at the FHNW Campus Dreispitz in Basel and lasts three semesters as a Fast Track+ or five semesters part-time.
