19.11.2025, From 20 to 24 January 2026, the Swiss construction industry will gather in Basel at Swissbau. The University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics FHNW will be present as a Competence Partner at the largest construction fair in Switzerland. With a lounge, interactive formats, and specialist events, the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics FHNW will act as a source of inspiration for the circular economy, sustainable and digital construction, as well as innovation in the construction sector.


Swissbau is the leading platform for building and architecture in Switzerland. The largest construction fair in Switzerland brings together professionals, interested parties, and opinion leaders to discuss current challenges, trends, and solutions. With its engagement as a Competence Partner, the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics FHNW sets new impulses in the industry and connects science and teaching with practice. Visitors to the fair can expect a diverse program:

- Innovative panel discussions in the Swissbau Focus - Sustainability Corner: A space for discussions on climate-friendly materials and construction processes - Digital Experience World: Interactive presentations and virtual tours of innovative construction projects - Tower Building Challenge: A creative competition that playfully combines teamwork and engineering skills
