With the new tower poster, the EuroAirport once again underscores its commitment to culture in the tri-border region. The prominent tower space is purposefully used to showcase cultural institutions and outstanding artworks from the region, extending their reach beyond national borders. The airport sees itself as a platform that makes art accessible to a broad, international audience.
The chosen work Vega Pâl is part of Victor Vasarely's renowned 'Vega' series, playing with geometric shapes, colour gradients, and optical illusions. The apparent bulging and movement of the composition is characteristic of kinetic art and gives the motif strong visual dynamism. EuroAirport is pleased to bring this iconic modern work into the public space.
The Musée Unterlinden in Colmar is one of the most visited art museums in France and offers a unique journey through nearly 7,000 years of art history – from prehistory to contemporary art. With the tower poster, this cultural diversity is made visible beyond the airport.
The next major exhibition at the Musée Unterlinden, 'Conversation(s)', will be on view from 26 June to 7 December 2026, bringing masterpieces of medieval art into dialogue with modern and contemporary works.

EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is located in Saint-Louis (France) at the tri-border area of France-Switzerland-Germany and is jointly operated by France and the Swiss Canton of Basel-Stadt. It is unique worldwide due to its binational status and carries the IATA codes BSL (Switzerland), MLH (France), and EAP, as well as the ICAO code LFSB. Since its opening in 1946, the airport has developed into an important transport hub, with around 8.9 million passengers (2024) and over 100 destinations in more than 30 countries.
The terminal is divided into French and Swiss sections, with a clear Schengen/non-Schengen separation. Accessibility is provided by bus (e.g., line 50 to Basel SBB in 17 minutes), via the nearby Saint-Louis train station, and potentially soon via a direct rail connection. Major airlines include easyJet, Wizz Air, Lufthansa, Swiss, Air France, and Turkish Airlines. In short: a modern, tri-national airport with a unique legal structure and central location in Europe.
