However, tightly sealed windows and good insulation have a downside: In rooms without adequate air exchange, dust, mold spores, mite droppings, pollen, and kitchen fumes accumulate in alarming concentrations. Silent Strain with Serious Consequences
While people often notice poor indoor air quality late, cats are more sensitive: Their breathing volume is significantly higher in relation to body weight than in humans, and their lungs are more delicate in structure. What Owners Can Do

Complementarily, an air purifier with a HEPA filter is recommended, reliably removing fine dust, allergens, and mold spores from the indoor air. It is important to pay attention to the suitable room size and quiet operation—cats are sensitive to noise.
