The Event Domes will be realised as a semi-permanent structure in the Diamond Dome tennis halls and are also conceived as a defining part of the destination. From April to October, they expand the event portfolio of the Bürgenstock Resort by an independent platform for high-quality corporate events, conferences, and exclusive occasions within the international MICE environment.
Room for Impact, Clarity, and Exchange. With a total area of around 1,450 square metres and a capacity for up to 550 guests, the Bürgenstock Event Domes open up diverse possibilities for use. From strategic board retreats and product presentations to large-scale gala evenings, the space can be precisely tailored to different formats and needs. The modular architecture made of wood and glass allows for various room configurations, from open plenary situations and break-out zones to separate reception areas. Thus, each event can be dramaturgically individually designed.
The architectural concept follows the principles of biophilic design. Generous natural light, wide views, and the conscious integration of the alpine surroundings create an atmosphere that promotes concentration, creativity, and dialogue. The space itself becomes an active component of the event and a catalyst for ideas and decisions.
A Destination with Depth and Radiance The Bürgenstock Event Domes will be fully integrated into the resort's infrastructure. Three hotels with a total of 360 rooms and suites, an award-winning spa offering, alpine activities, and internationally influenced gastronomy allow for a holistic staging of events. The proximity to Zurich (1 hour) combined with the elevated panoramic location above Lake Lucerne creates a rare added value: easily accessible yet consciously removed from everyday life.
The Event Domes have already been the venue for unforgettable events: After a private concert by a world-renowned star in 2023, the area was in international focus in 2024 with the High-Level Conference on Peace in Ukraine, attended by 57 heads of state and government and representatives of 92 international diplomatic delegations.
Additionally, an international media centre for around 500 accredited journalists was set up. The images and reports went around the world, showcasing the global significance and professionalism of the destination.
“With the Event Domes, we are creating a space that goes far beyond classic event infrastructure. It is a place where environment, architecture, and content interact and unfold genuine impact. For us, it is a consistent step to position the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne as the leading event destination of the next generation,” says Chris K. Franzen, Managing Director of the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne.
The official opening will take place on April 16, 2026, as part of an exclusive preview event for invited guests from business, media, and the event industry. The occasion marks the starting point for market launch and makes the new event dimension tangible for the first time. The Bürgenstock Event Domes are now officially bookable at events@burgenstockresort.com and will be available for events from April to October 2026.
A Strong Statement for the Swiss MICE Market With the Bürgenstock Event Domes, the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne underscores its ambition to be not just a host but also an active designer of future-oriented event formats. The combination of architectural quality, natural strength, and operational excellence sets new benchmarks for meetings and events that focus on impact, experience, and sustainability.
