31.08.2026, Wallisellen () - Today's severe weather with heavy rain, local floods and devastating hailstorms have led to millions in damages. Particularly, the regions Aargau, Solothurn, and Zurich were most affected by the storms. In response, Allianz Suisse is setting up Hail Drive-Ins in Bachenbülach, Winterthur, and Aarau from September 14th and 21st respectively for quick and uncomplicated damage assessments for affected customers.

Tennis ball-sized hailstones, flooded streets, and flying garden furniture: Today's storms in the German-speaking part of Switzerland have left a trail of devastation, causing millions in damages. Allianz Suisse alone is estimating over 10,000 claims based on initial projections. Motor vehicles and buildings, in particular, were heavily impacted by the centimeter-sized hailstones. "The storms were short and intense. Our claims team is currently on site to assess the extent of the damage," emphasized Rico Frei, Head of Motor Claims at Allianz Suisse.
