Three Friends for a Hallelujah
The film centres on the three fearless companions Terence, Granit and Zeki, who travel from town to town, inspiring the people of the Wild West with the game of football. But in one sleepy village, the "Socceritos" meet resistance: a local villain is determined not to let football take over from gunfighting in his town. The situation escalates until a bet decides whether football will triumph there.
Tradition and Modernity Unified
Since then, a lot of time has passed, but the passion of the "Socceritos" continues to thrive in football, which constantly evolves. Football becomes more modern and dynamic - just like Denner, which refreshes its stores and product range. No dusty wooden boxes here, but spruced-up shelves; no gold nuggets, but Apple Pay; no canned beans, but fresh and crispy vegetables. Okay, urban cowboys and girls can still find good whiskey in the offerings. At Denner, as in football, tradition and modernity go hand in hand.
Between Spain, the Field, and the Saloon: Filming
"The Socceritos" was shot in Spain. Earlier films with Terence Hill were also realised in these classic Western settings. Swiss director and screenwriter Reto Salimbeni directed the movie. For the crew, the project was a mix of nostalgia, humour and sporting passion. "The spirit that arose during filming made this unique work possible. The dedication of everyone involved was incredible from the project's inception to its realisation," says Raphael Werner, Head of Customer at Denner, adding, "We wish all football and Western fans much enjoyment and exciting football moments with the "Socceritos".
