The athletes completed three runs in three rounds on terrain that combined freeride zones with hand-shaped kickers, park features, and natural elements. Each was both an athlete and a jury member; additionally, a technical judge was present to set performance criteria and decide ties.
Even though the performance level was clearly in the elite range, the spirit of mutual development was more prominent than rivalry.
High-Alpine Execution and Safety
Since the venue was remote at an altitude of 3,000 meters, the competition was held without an audience for safety and logistical reasons. The event followed a comprehensive safety protocol, including preventive avalanche blasting the day before and on the morning of the competition. The operations were led by safety officer Fabien Papilloud, supported by a specialized medical team and a predefined evacuation plan. The competition went off without incidents.
A Quality Broadcast
In contrast to previous editions that were streamed directly from the mountain, the 2026 edition introduces a premium format that elevates storytelling and production quality to a new level.
During the broadcast, viewers can vote for the 'Athlete of the Day' via QR code. The voting remains open for several days; the winner is subsequently announced on Instagram.
