The AMAG Group is on track towards achieving its climate goals and is making further progress on its path to sustainable mobility and net-zero ambition: Across all scope categories, emissions were reduced by 35 percent in the past year compared to the base year 2019. Key drivers of this development include the interplay of several factors: On one hand, the AMAG Group is consistently implementing its own measures - such as energy-efficient renovations and electrification of its own fleet. On the other hand, the increasing share of electric vehicles in the market significantly contributes to emission reduction. The development shows: Climate targets are primarily achieved where companies, customers, partners, and the market work together.
Transformation through an integrated ecosystem
The AMAG Group is increasingly evolving into a provider of a holistic mobility ecosystem, connecting key components of sustainable mobility. A crucial lever is an attractive range of battery electric vehicles: In 2025, six models of the AMAG Group were among the top 10 best-selling electric vehicles in Switzerland. This offering is complemented by the Charge-On card, which provides easy access to charging infrastructure in Switzerland and Europe.
With competitive energy offerings - including charging solutions from 28 centimes per kilowatt hour - AMAG creates additional incentives for switching to electromobility. At the same time, it positions itself as a provider of an integrated offer of vehicle, energy, and services ('one-stop-shop'). This ecosystem is deliberately supplemented through partnerships: such as with Synhelion in the field of synthetic fuels, with Climeworks for CO2 removal from the atmosphere, and with Librec for battery recycling. This strategy shows that sustainability arises through the interaction of various solutions - and through their consistent, customer-focused implementation.
Responsibility along the entire value chain
AMAG takes responsibility along the entire value chain and engages in active dialogue with its suppliers to develop and implement common climate goals. It applies that a significant portion of the emissions (Scope 3) arises outside the own company - with suppliers, partners, and in the use of vehicles by customers. If emissions in the respective areas (Scope 1 and 2) are consistently reduced, the Scope 3 emissions automatically decrease as well.
This transformation requires not only clear targets but also new technological solutions and partnerships. Climate protection thus becomes a joint task along the entire value chain - and a central success factor for sustainable mobility. Helmut Ruhl, CEO of the AMAG Group: 'The reduction of our CO2 emissions by 35 percent shows that we are on track - and that progress in climate protection is only possible together with customers, partners, and the market.'
