The wholesaler Pistor, which supplies bakeries, confectioneries, as well as catering and healthcare businesses with food and non-food items, held its annual General Meeting today at the Hotel Schweizerhof Lucerne. Around 240 participants were present. They confirmed bakery-confectionery entrepreneurs Gérald Saudan, David Koller, and Christophe Ackermann as directors for another two years. "We are pleased with the trust that the cooperative members place in our work," says Chairman of the Board Daniel Eichenberger. "Our aim remains to support customers efficiently and reliably in their daily work." Additionally, Thomas Keller was newly elected to the board of the Pistor Holding Cooperative. This follows his four-year tenure as a director for the subsidiary Pistor AG, thus taking on a dual role in the future. Daniel Eichenberger emphasizes: "Thomas brings a valuable external perspective that helps to further develop our company and business. The entire Pistor group will benefit from this perspective in the future.
Reinvestments in infrastructure
At today's General Meeting in Lucerne, the electorate approved the annual report, the financial statements, and the allocation of the balance sheet profit. They also discharged the executive bodies. One of the main topics presented was Pistor's investments in physical and digital infrastructure. The company renewed the logistics facilities at its headquarters in Rothenburg last fiscal year, opened a new distribution center in Sennwald for Eastern Switzerland, and expanded the online marketplace Mercanto to include a range of 77,000 items. "We are convinced: our cooperative mission is to act with a long-term perspective and invest financial resources for the benefit of our customers," says Daniel Eichenberger. "That's exactly what we are doing today and will continue to do in the future."
