This milestone builds on the collaboration announced in April 2024. At that time, ten23 health and Ypsomed joined forces to offer pharmaceutical companies a fully integrated solution for the YpsoDose platform. It supports the development and commercialization of combination products from pharmaceuticals and YpsoDose.
The offering includes 10-ml glass cartridges, Ypsomed's large-volume wearable injector YpsoDose, as well as ten23 health's services in formulation development, sterile filling, analytical testing, and quality control. By pooling these competencies, the two companies aim to simplify the path from drug development to the market-ready YpsoDose combination product.
Since then, ten23 health has implemented the sterile filling of the 10-ml glass cartridges used with YpsoDose on two filling lines. The development filling line can be used for process development and for producing samples for stability tests, design verification, and other purposes. Additionally, a GMP-compliant filling line for clinical applications and the commercial production of smaller quantities is available.
By establishing assembly capacities, Ypsomed and ten23 health are expanding their strategic partnership beyond drug manufacturing and testing. The offering now also includes the assembly of the final combination product from the drug and injector. This brings another step of the supply chain under one roof, further enhancing the service offering for pharmaceutical companies developing combination products with YpsoDose. This means access to an integrated supply chain solution with fewer technology transfers and fewer partners needing coordination.
